TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

  • A valid passport is necessary for international travel. We are not currently traveling to any countries that require US Citizens to obtain a visa.

To find out specific requirements for each country, it is advised to visit the State Department website.

Should you lack a passport or require a visa, it's recommended to get in touch with the nearest consulate.

Keep in mind that some countries mandate your passport to remain valid for a set period beyond your departure, possibly up to 6 months. Therefore, it's crucial to verify the expiration date.

US citizens can access online passport application and renewal details through the United States State Department Passport Services.

BEFORE + AFTER YOUR TRIP

  • Impact Adventure Tours strongly advises against buying non-refundable advance-purchase airline tickets until your reservation is confirmed and your trip is guaranteed.

If you intend to secure airline reservations prior to receiving your trip confirmation, kindly get in touch with your Trip Consultant for information regarding the start and end times and locations of your trip.

  • Comprehensive details regarding trip start and end times and locations, airport and hotel van transfers, as well as transportation choices are enclosed in your Travel Planner. If you haven't received your Travel Planner yet, kindly reach out to your Travel Guide to obtain the necessary information.

Every trip commences and concludes in or around a town that can be reached by plane, train, bus, or a shuttle, as indicated in the individual trip descriptions. If you plan to drive to the trip's starting point, please refer to the Travel Planner or inquire with a Travel Guide for information regarding parking possibilities.

  • If you require assistance with organizing air travel, accommodations before and after your trip, rental cars, or rail tickets to complement your Backroads journey, please contact your travel advisor or one of our Trip Consultants. They can provide you with a referral to our travel agent.

  • Unfortunately, we does not offer this service. However, if you intend to prolong your stay either before the trip's start at our initial hotel or after the trip's conclusion at our final hotel, it's advisable to inform the hotel reservations agent that you're part of our travel group. This might enable you to avoid changing rooms. It's recommended to make your room bookings well in advance, particularly during peak travel seasons.

  • Although it might not always be logistically straightforward to join a trip late or depart early, it is feasible for the majority of itineraries (please be aware that Impact Adventure Tours is not accountable for any supplementary travel expenses, and keep in mind that there are no refunds for late arrivals or early departures).

HEALTH + SAFETY

  • Absolutely. We offer an array of freshly prepared, wholesome, and delectable food during our signature picnics. Additionally, our hotels and ships offer high-quality cuisine.

  • Kindly provide information about your dietary restrictions, intolerances, and allergies before your trip.

Your Trip Guide will communicate your restrictions to the establishments we visit, such as restaurants, hotels, and ships.

However, we cannot ensure that allergens won't come into contact with the food during preparation. Please note that our dining facilities do not have dedicated cooking spaces for allergen-free items or separate dining areas for guests with allergies or intolerances.

  • Our COVID-19 policies align with CDC recommendations and adapt to maintain a steady equilibrium between convenience and safety. While we suggest guests to be vaccinated against COVID-19 or to undergo PCR or rapid antigen testing before the trip, it is no longer a mandatory requirement. For the latest information and advice on travel planning, please refer to our COVID-19 Safety Measures & FAQs.
