What Is Impact?

How “Impact” Projects Stand the Test of Time

Occasionally, our organization can be misidentified as an “aid” organization. While we are flattered by the confusion, it’s essential that we define the difference between providing aid and providing sustainable solutions to a region of the world through a carefully planned operation.

Aid organizations are among the most essential nonprofit entities in the world. They are indispensable in crisis, providing much-needed and urgent supplies such as medicine, water, clothing, and temporary shelter. Aid organizations are there in the most dire circumstances after a catastrophic event.

Impact Adventure Tours is structured differently. We seek out communities in need and bring infrastructure, supplies, skills, and resources that help strengthen the community and its lifestyle so that if disaster or hard times come, it is better equipped to weather the storm.

Seek, and You Shall Find

We actively seek partnerships with organizations in the regions we serve and strive to understand their greatest needs. Once we have identified a partnering organization and assessed the project's scope, we gather the funding, suppliers, and crucial elements to bring the project to life.

These projects vary but always focus on strengthening a region's self-sufficiency and preparation for the changing times. Our organizing and traveler teams become the boots on the ground as we change lives and build a more secure future for so many in need.

Vision of the Future

Our core projects focus on sustainability, infrastructure, and community development. We plan and implement foundational features that create a vision for a brighter future. We are a comprehensive partner for these regions, providing supplies, skilled labor, and the training and education needed to fully utilize the resources.

Here is a glimpse into our core projects, the partners we support, and with whom we collaborate.

Education

We work with organizations such as the Guatemala-based Cooperative for Education, whose work is based on the premise that we are born with the potential to become creators, healers, innovators, educators, and builders when we have access to the power of education. Education breaks the generational poverty cycle, provides hope and stability, gives reason to dream, and allows students to access their abundant potential. From this foundation, anything is possible, and where one succeeds, others are brought along.

Clean Water

Our partnerships with Asociación Pozos Agua Viva (ASOCAVIVA) help bring safe drinking water to remote areas in Guatemala while sharing the message of salvation. ASOCAVIVA not only brings clean water, but it also educates the community through the Health and Hygiene program, teaching basic personal hygiene and water preservation.

Community Development

Our nonprofit partner, Amextra, works to transform marginalized communities in Mexico by building community leaders and encouraging local participation. This work transforms lives through programs that educate about health and nutrition, artisanal crafts, eco-technologies, and more.

Agriculture

Bean Voyage works through an entrepreneurship program to create thriving, women-run businesses collaborating with local coffee farmers. Bean Voyage runs volunteer programs that focus on developing inter-departmental skills among volunteers and help them engage in a variety of projects.

Healthcare

Together with our partners, we bring efficiency and tangible impact to the regions we serve. The effect is more than just our name; it is what we deliver today in projects that stand the test of time well into tomorrow.
